SummaryThe MA – NP&Dev, is responsible for supporting the design, implementation and execution of Medical Affairs plans for new products within Greater Bay Area (GBA); building strategies including real-world data generation on innovative medicines listed within GBA following GBA policies and communication guidance allowedAbout the RoleKey responsibilities:Medical Affairs strategy in line with global strategy
  • Leverage insights from GBA unmet need and treatment landscape to implement planned Medical Affairs activities on assigned products in GBA
  • Identify and build strategies for new HK/Macau approved products (not approved in China) to be listed in GBA hospitals
  • Build strategies for new product development aligning with local strategies within GBA and HK
Medical Affairs activities
  • Execute integrated evidence generation plans to address unmet needs in GBA and HK for new product development
  • Execution/oversight on clinical trial or clinical research related activities, including real-world data generation
  • Coordinate scientific meeting and educational programs; develop strategic engagement plans
  • Report AE/PC within 24 hours of receipt as appropriate
Internal collaboration and other responsibilities
  • Acts as internal subject expert to provide medical insights to cross-functional teams
  • Working with GBA cross-functional teams to build GBA strategy
  • Coordinate review and approval of locally developed materials and global materials tailored to local needs adhering to ERC, P3 and GBA policies and communication guidance
  • Responsible for risk identification and assessment, mitigation planning; implementation and monitoring of appropriate internal controls
People Management
  • Coach and manage 2 GBA MSLs based in China
  • Ensure timely execution of planned Medical Affairs activities by MSLs in an efficient and compliant way
  • Ensure medical enquiries are responded to in a high quality and timely manner compliantly by MSLs
  • Oversight and manage GBA MSLs’ responsibilities in a timely manner (iSEC, customer relationship management tool etc.)
Essential requirements:
  • MD, PharmD, pharmacist, PhD, Master above degree in medical or other life sciences
  • Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English
  • Strategic & collaborative mindset across boundaries
  • Medical Advisor and new launch experience preferred
  • Experience in clinical research and real-world data generation is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Experience in project and operation management and execution
