Data Governance Lead (Global Bank, up to 75k)

• Serve as the primary point of contact within the organization for data management and governance issues.
• Provide guidance and expertise on data governance principles, practices, and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data-related challenges and find effective solutions.

• Assist in operating the data governance committee, facilitating discussions, and driving decision-making on data governance matters.
• Continuously refine and optimize data governance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented tools and make recommendations for improvements.
• Stay updated on relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
• Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure data governance practices align with regulatory requirements.
• Support data classification and protection efforts to safeguard sensitive and confidential data.

• Extensive experience (6+ years) in data management and governance practices.
• Strong understanding of data ownership and stewardship, identity and access control, data classification, and data protection.
• Experience in implementing a data governance framework and leading a data committee in an enterprise environment is highly desirable.
• Solid knowledge of data governance tools and technologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant certifications in data management and governance are a plus.
