Primary Details Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeThe purpose of this role is to manage underwriting activities and P&L responsibility for Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) & Retail segments, including digital products underwriting and manual underwriting of new products. This role involves building relationships with intermediaries, ensuring quality underwriting services, and contributing to product development and innovation across multiple distribution channels.Your new role:

Support underwriting activities across multiple distribution channels.
Maintain good working relationships with customers, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders.
Assist in product development, innovation, and testing.
Participate in relevant meetings to share and develop strategy, knowledge, and best practices.
Maintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines and policy changes, recommending changes to company policies and procedures where appropriate.
Establish and promote the company image with key clients.
Support the evaluation of risk for new business and renewals to ensure profitable growth.
Adhere to underwriting standards, instructions, and good practice to minimise risks and maximise efficiency.
Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, internal audit, and other governance and compliance requirements.

About you:

Degree or equivalent qualification preferable
Working experience with substantial experience gained within the insurance industry
Thorough understanding of class specific underwriting and procedure and reinsurance knowledge
Working experience in the insurance industry
Use of risk profiling and pricing tools
Use of loss models.
Established customer and broker relationships
