Our plans to expand into the Greater Bay Area (GBA) will also cultivate talent to serve Hong Kong and the wider metropolitan GBA.For more information about the University, please visit .We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Mainland and International Affairs Office.QualificationsMajor Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Manager, in collaboration with the Director of the Mainland and International Affairs Office (MIAO), will be responsible for the following:Implementing Partnership Strategies:Develop and execute action plans to forge partnerships with universities.This involves conducting research and analysis of markets and universities, as well as monitoring trends and developments in international higher education to identify opportunities for the HKMU community.Managing International Student Recruitment:Source and evaluate potential student recruitment partners, manage partner networks, and deliver training to ensure compliance with HKMU's policies.Execute international student recruitment plan for prioritized regions in the global market.Manage partnerships with service providers, agencies, and schools within these regions, and being accountable for the recruitment pipeline that ultimately leads to the enrollment of international students at our university.Supporting Management on External Engagements:Provide support to management regarding HKMU's external engagements, including managing incoming visits from partners and higher education institutions, as well as supporting student mobility missions.Performing any other duties as assigned by the Director of Mainland and International Affairs Office or his/her nominee.The position requires practical knowledge of marketing and sales within the international education sector. This may include student recruitment through service provider networks, direct engagement with schools and other providers to foster long-term relationships, and supporting direct recruitment strategies and execution in the designated territory.CandidatesCandidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:A bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience in partnership development within higher education and international student recruitment, particularly in sourcing and managing international student recruitment partners. Experience in Southeast Asia and/or Central Asia is a plus;A proven track record of strong marketing and sales performance;Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue partnership and international student recruitment opportunities that align with the university’s strategic objectives;High-level interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills in business-level English, both written and spoken, along with proficiency in one Southeast Asian or Central Asian language (such as Thai, Bahasa, Uzbek, or Kazakh);A solid understanding of the international education industry and the ability to navigate multicultural settings effectively; andA flexible attitude toward work, including a willingness to work weekends and evenings to support recruitment activities both locally and internationally.Terms and Conditions for AppointmentAn attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
