- Conduct thorough due diligence on hedge fund managers, strategies, and performance across global markets. Evaluate investment opportunities, risks, and potential returns to determine the suitability for inclusion in the fund of hedge funds portfolio.
- Identify and assess potential hedge fund managers based on various criteria, including investment strategy, historical performance, risk management, and alignment of interests. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective managers.
- Monitor the performance and risk characteristics of existing hedge fund manager holdings. Conduct ongoing analysis of portfolio composition, exposures, and diversification. Identify any potential issues or changes that may impact the fund's performance.
- Prepare investment recommendations and reports based on comprehensive research and analysis. Clearly communicate findings and insights to senior investment professionals and portfolio managers.
- Evaluate the performance of hedge fund managers and assess their ability to generate alpha. Conduct attribution analysis to understand the drivers of performance and identify any areas for improvement
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Previous experience as an investment analyst within a fund of hedge funds, asset management firm, or investment bank, with a strong focus on global markets.
- Deep understanding of hedge fund strategies, investment techniques, and risk management practices.
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and statistical techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
