Closing Date: April 30, 2024Aerospace Science and Earth Informatics and X Double Major Programme (ASEI+X) is a new double major programme at CUHK, in collaboration with CUHK(SZ). The first major is Aerospace Science and Earth Informatics (ASEI). The second major includes, but is not limited to, physics, earth and environmental sciences, mechanical engineering, new energy science, data science, geography and resource management (+X). The programme is looking for a candidate to fill a post of Lecturer or Assistant Lecturer.Applicant should have (i) a higher degree (at least at the Master’s level) in the Aerospace Science, Earth Informatics, or related fields; (ii) at least four years of research and/or teaching experience at tertiary institutions; and (iii) an excellent command of spoken and written English. The appointee will (a) teach introductory courses that integrate the interdisciplinary fields of Aerospace Science and Earth Informatics, as well as the second major subject; (b) teach advanced and experiential learning courses in Aerospace Science and Earth Informatics, and related subjects; (c) manage associated teaching laboratories and field studies, as well as internship programme for the undergraduate students; and (d) other duties assigned by programme director.Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for two years commencing in August 2024, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.Applicants should upload the following documents in the online application: (1) a full curriculum vitae; (2) a cover letter in PDF format; (3) a teaching statement; and (4) contact information of at least two professional referees.
