We employ over 21,000 people worldwide.We are also a founding member of the oneworld global alliance whose combined network serves over 750 destinations worldwide.Role IntroductionReports To: Finance Business Partner – EngineeringDepartments: FIN - Financial ServicesThis position serves as a key member of the finance business partner team assisting the Finance Business Partner – Engineering in liaising with the various units within Engineering (ENG) on all finance related matters and providing financial analysis, financial insights and decision-making support to ENG. This role contributes to the financial planning and analysis as well as functional finance business partnering functionalities.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial business partnering

Assist with preparation of Interim Business Reviews and Annual Business Review deck
Provide assistance to BUs in relation to cost monitoring and performance review
Provide support to BUs for business decision making, including setting up project modelling, project business case financial reasonableness assessment, providing financial advices and etc
Ensure financial controls are adhered to, and improved, in the respective Bus
Provide assistance to BU in processes optimization
Provide any other financial advices as and when required

Financial and management reporting

Process required entries for month end closing and review ledger to ensure ENG financial reports are properly prepared
Prepare balance sheet item schedules / reports and review the movements with BU
Prepare monthly maintenance cost ledger / related reports to BU
Provide insightful business performance analysis through the interpretation of results and explanation of drivers of variance against budget/forecast/last month result etc
Assist in statutory audit process inlcuding preparation of relevant schedules
Provide support to BU and IMT in investigating and resolving system issues
Perform ad hoc assignments as and when required

Budget and forecasting

Assist BU to prepare budget/rolling forecast/long term forecast timely
Review budget/forecast number with BU and consolidate budget / forecast data for analysis
Support BU with the preparation of budget review deck
Submit budget in SAP
Prepare budget and forecast required schedules
Assist with any other ad hoc budget analysis

Requirements

Holder of a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years relevant experience of which 2 years in supervisory role
Working experience with Airline/MRO a definite plus
Professional accounting qualification / audit firm working experience is preferred
Experience in using SAP advantageous
Good command of both spoken and written English/Cantonese/Chinese
Strong skills in MS Office applications, especially in Excel
Strong analytics skills and interpersonal skills
Strong appetite to learn and attentive to details
Willing to challenge the status quo and improve process
Able to work under pressure and being flexible when necessary to meet deadlines
