Trade Finance and Export Operations Manager

• Lead and supervise the trade finance and export operations team, overseeing all aspects of Letters of Credit (LC), Open Account (OA) transactions, negotiation, payment processing, and discrepancy resolution.
• Manage and ensure the accuracy of trade documentation including FCRs, commercial invoices, and packing lists, along with timely submission to relevant parties.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Logistics, Finance) and external stakeholders (e.g., banks, freight forwarders) to ensure seamless trade operations.
• Analyze trade finance trends and export performance to develop and implement operational improvement strategies.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with trade transactions, providing strategic insights and recommendations to the CFO.
• Resolve payment-related issues promptly, including documentation discrepancies and delayed settlements.
• Liaise with international banks and financial institutions to negotiate favorable terms, facilities, and pricing.
• Ensure compliance with international trade laws, financial regulations, and internal company policies.
• Monitor shipment schedules and documentation to meet customer requirements and delivery timelines.
• Perform ad hoc tasks and support special projects as assigned by senior management.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, International Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in trade finance and export operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role - preferably within a sourcing or trading environment.
• Solid knowledge of trade finance instruments, logistics, and international trade documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with SAP is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
