- Leads a pod of data professionals to deliver committed Data or AI/ML capabilities that pertain to agreed business outcomes.
- Accountable for what deliveries to commit to in a Delivery cycle given known constraints and business priorities.
- Accountable to deliver commitments within stipulated budgets and time frames
- Collaborate with other teams to meet the delivery commitments, across Digital and business stakeholders.
- Accountable for Engineering decisions that pertain to the delivery commitments, through consultation and collaboration with relevant design Architects.
- Accountable for the quality of output of these data professionals including reliability and resilience of on-going operations of the outputs.
- Accountable for defining and maintaining best practices in software engineering standards particularly coding practices and review standards.
- A Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant disciplines
- Having specialization in Software Engineering would be an advantage.
- Having additional qualification in Electrical Engineering would be an advantage.
- At least 10 years of proven experience in managing and delivering cloud-based (particularly AZURE) Data or AI/ML applications via software engineering discipline.
- At least 3-4 years of proven experience in leading software engineering teams (on-shore or off-shore, internal or external) to deliver Data or AI/ML applications.
- Proven track record of delivering multiple outcomes in a fast-paced organisation; proven experience with AGILE delivery approach.
- Possess strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to analyse business requirements, identify the root causes and recommending solution approach effectively. Having prior experience in the Energy industry would be a highly regarded advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communications both written and verbal.
- Proven team player who is keen to engage and work with colleagues beyond his/her domain of expertise.
