- Lead the actuarial team and provide strategic direction in line with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support pricing, reserving, and forecasting activities.
- Assess and mitigate risks by conducting in-depth analysis of insurance products, claims, and underwriting practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to actuarial practices and reporting.
- Collaborate with product management teams to design and implement innovative insurance products that align with market needs.
- Contribute to the development of the company's long-term strategic plans by providing actuarial insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, underwriting teams, and other key stakeholders to drive effective decision-making and achieve business objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the actuarial team, including mentoring and coaching junior actuaries.
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in actuarial roles within the insurance industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of actuarial methods, principles, and practices, including pricing, reserving, risk analysis, and financial modeling. Proficiency in actuarial software and statistical tools is essential.
- Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance requirements, including those specific to health insurance.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide valuable insights to support business decisions and drive growth.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
