- Coordinate internally and externally the execution of team’s plans in order to achieve the highest level of relevancy to humanitarian needs and accountability to the public, the donors, partners and people receiving assistance
- Conduct research to analyze global trend of humanitarian needs and required competencies to inform or design training plan and curricula for personnel, including volunteers and staff, participating in overseas missions
- Assist Senior Programme Coordinator (Emergency Health) to lead a team of staff and collaborate with identified Movement partners to ensure the effective and efficient management and implementation of programmes.
- Support Senior Programme Coordinator (Emergency Health) to mobilize resources, including personnel and funding, to respond to overseas emergencies.
- Identify the needs of research and analysis exercise on health themes, for designing and implementing humanitarian health programmes.
- Plan and coordinate experience consolidation and knowledge sharing exercise within the department and Agency.
- Make recommendations for improving programme management systems and formulating operational plans to Senior Programme Coordinator (Emergency Health) to fulfill the operational strategies for overseas emergency health service.
- Support the Senior Programme Coordinator (Emergency Health) to advocate for humanitarian agenda to gain public awareness and support, by collecting relevant information, consolidating HKRC experience and recommending the key messages for public communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in health-related disciplines
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-graduation work experience, including at least 2 years at a managerial level within overseas humanitarian sectors
- Experience in programme management and networking within the health sector (local and international)
- Experience in volunteer management and development, preferably for professional volunteers in health-related disciplines
- Experience in disaster response or community health approaches
- Good interpersonal skills, mature personality, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, independent, with high cultural sensitivity, able to work in a multi-disciplinary team and under pressure
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English, Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
- Contract Period: 1 year
