A Hong Kong-based proprietary trading firm is seeking a highly motivated Junior Quantitative Trader to join their team. This is a hands-on, market-facing role ideal for individuals who are excited by live trading environments and eager to take ownership of strategies early in their career. The firm offers a fast-paced, collaborative setting where traders are empowered to make real-time decisions and continuously refine their approach through data and intuition.Key Responsibilities:Operate a Trading Desk: Manage and execute multiple trading strategies independently. Take ownership of strategy performance and execution quality.Market Monitoring (During Trading Hours): Track strategy behavior, execution metrics, market share, and missed opportunities. Observe market activity and competitor trades to identify patterns and insights.Post-Trade Quantitative Analysis: Analyze trade data to evaluate performance and uncover areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to refine and enhance trading strategies.Strategy Innovation & Improvement: Propose and test new ideas to improve existing strategies or develop new ones. Make intuitive, real-time decisions to adjust strategy parameters based on market conditions.Candidate Requirements:Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience in trading, quantitative analysis, or financial markets. Fresh graduates with strong interest in trading are welcome to apply .Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python for data analysis and strategy development. Familiarity with market data and trading concepts is a plus.Mindset & Approach: Passion for live market engagement and real-time decision-making.
