My client is a globally renowned sports brand headquartered in the US.They are looking for an experienced Technical Designer to support product development in Asia.Category experience is not limited.RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate extensively with designers, factories, and cross-functional teams (merchandising, product management, design, development, and sourcing) to align on category or collection goals and deliver market-ready products.Develop and oversee comprehensive Tech Packs for vendors, including detailed construction sketches, sewing instructions, measurement specs with tolerances, fit evaluations, and pattern adjustments.Ensure fit consistency by leveraging fit models, dress forms, block patterns, and standard specs, while coordinating with the Global TD team to align on fit and block standards.Lead and schedule fit sessions to refine product quality and performance.Manage the sample approval process, from prototype to pre-production stages, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes.Anticipate and address potential production, quality, or costing challenges, offering solutions that preserve design and fit integrity.Demonstrate expertise in garment construction, sewing techniques, patternmaking, grade rules, markers, and yield to guide designers and factories in resolving issues.Stay informed on consumer safety regulations, environmental standards (e.g., China GB regulation), and emerging industry technologies.Monitor workflow, meet seasonal deadlines, and ensure products are fully commercialized and buy-ready.Maintain a deep understanding of product engineering and manufacturing processes.Research and integrate new technologies to enhance apparel innovation.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Clothing & Textiles or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in technical design and fitting.Passion for product creation, innovation, and delivering high-quality apparel.Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin).Strong communication skills across verbal, written, and visual formats.Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and MS Office; experience with AA system, CLO, and Gerber software is a plus.Knowledge of 3D fashion design software is advantageous.Proven experience with outerwear and sport apparel, covering both US/international and Asia fit standards for men and women.Excellent technical expertise in garment construction, sewing, patternmaking, and grading.Exceptional organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently or collaboratively as needed.Willingness to travel globally as required.Interested parties pls send your CV to Angela Tsui from ConnectedGroup at [email redacted, apply via Company website] for more details.For more opportunities, please visit www.connectedgroup.comAll applications applied through our system will be delivered directly to the advertiser and privacy of personal data of the applicant will be ensured with security.
