This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficient management of payment operations and financial processes within a dynamic academic environment.Assistant Finance Manager (Payment) (FO) (Ref: 25001VY)Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe appointee will play a pivotal role in supporting the Finance Manager and will be responsible for:
  • Supervising the payment operations team to ensure smooth day-to-day activities;
  • Monitoring and managing payment schedules, performing reconciliations, and resolving payment-related issues promptly;
  • Assisting in the enhancement of processes and driving system automation initiatives to improve efficiency;
  • Handling month-end accounts payable closing processes and providing support for year-end audits;
  • Conducting financial analysis to aid management in decision-making;
  • Preparing and maintaining standard operating procedures for payment-related functions; and
  • Undertaking other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or their delegate.
CandidatesThe ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:
  • A recognized degree in Accountancy or a related discipline, with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience gained from sizable companies or organizations;
  • Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA) are highly preferred;
  • A logical and analytical mindset, coupled with a strong sense of responsibility, meticulous attention to detail, and a service-oriented approach;
  • Proven ability to manage time and processes effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet multiple deadlines under pressure;
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work; and
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and Chinese (knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage)
