Posting Date: 2025-09-02The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd.Assistant System Control Engineer (Ref: SC-OPS-ASCE-R)Responsibilities:Reporting to the System Operations Engineer, the appointee will mainly perform the following responsibilities:

To control and monitor the Company's power system and coordinate the work on the High Voltage (HV) apparatus
To assist in assessing distribution outages and prepare switching programmes and contingency plans to maintain the continuity and security of supply of the distribution system
To carry out operations related to HV equipment outages, commissioning and routine testing
To perform duties of 24-hour shift roster or irregular hours

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
A minimum of 2 years’ work experience in operation, control, planning and/or other relevant areas in the power industry
Proficiency in Computer Aided Drawing Software and/or Excel
Good understanding in distribution network and power system operations
Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written
