About the roleOur clients, reputable MNC with buying and trading backgrounds within the fashion industry, are seeking talented Senior Merchandiser / Product Developer to join their fashion apparel/ and fashion accessories team. In this full-time role, you will collaborate closely with the client, internal teams, suppliers and vendors to develop innovative, trend-forward products to market.What you'll be doingManage the entire R&D process and full merchandising duties from concept to shipment completion, including sample requests, revisions, approvals, and transitions to production and quality assurance teamsCollaborating closely with internal teams (Headquarters and Hong Kong), clients, vendors and factories to ensure high-quality samples, timely deliveries, and customer satisfactionNegotiate costing and control budgets to ensure financial efficiency while maintaining product qualityLead fabric research and oversee raw material planning in collaboration with suppliers, mills and key component providers.Support the garment/ accessories fitting process, ensuring style consistency across product development stages, including transform product specifications to technical advice for sample developmentAssist senior management in price strategy, capacity planning, vendor selection, and coordination of lead times, shipping windows, and SMS deliveriesMaintain and strengthen business relationships with vendors and factories to facilitate effective product development and productionLiaise with vendors & factories to carry out corrective action and resolve production challengesMonitor project progress and provide regular business status reports to senior managementPerform additional tasks as assigned by managementWhat we're looking forDiploma and above academic qualifications in Fashion Studies, Textile & Clothing, Merchandising or a related discipline5+ years solid working experience in a similar product development or merchandising role within the fashion and apparel industryExcellent understanding of fashion trends, textile knowledges, garment construction, manufacturing techniques and supply chain managementProficiency in PLM, Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OutlookStrong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance creative vision with practical business considerations.Passion for creating products that inspire and delight customersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, organized and strong attention to detailsGood working attitude, self-motivated, and adaptable, maintaining professionalism while working independently and collaboratively across teamsExcellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with all parties and foster strong relationshipsGood command of written and spoken Cantonese, English and MandarinWilling to travel internationally, including visits to Headquarter, regional offices, suppliers, mills and vendors (if applicable)Candidates with less experience will be considered as Merchandiser/ Product DeveloperImmediate availability or short notice candidates are highly preferredWhat we offer5-days work, competitive salary packages, healthy work-life balance and a supportive work culture will be offered to right candidates, interested parties, please email resume with your expected salary, latest salary and availability to [email redacted, apply via Company website] for application.
