Support & monitor daily patient food service operation, including cook-chill food production, special menu for patients.2. Carry out duties of Cook, including food preparation, cooking and meal plating.3. Supervise the workmen, cooks and contractor staff.4. Follow up the routine maintenance of facilities and equipment.5. Conduct OSH assessments and staff training when necessary.6. Manage stock controls of department.7. Carry out HACCP/ISO22000 audit, food safety and environmental hygiene inspection.8. Monitor daily cleansing duties such as equipment cleaning / general housekeeping etc.9. Perform operational and administrative work of the Catering Department.10. Perform basic computer operations, e.g. to help with the Dietetics and Catering Management System.11. Liaise and communicate routine operation with wards / other departments.12. Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).Entry Requirements:1. (a) 3 years’ satisfactory service in the HA, or(b) 2 years’ supervisory experience in hospitals, hotels, cleansing service, facilities management or other related services / industries2. Have shown the potential to lead and supervise staff.Preferable Attributes:1. Cook apprenticeship or certificate in catering services2. Certificate for pressure vessels/boilers operation3. Able to speak fluent Cantonese, to read simple English, and to write Chinese and English.4. Have specialized knowledge, skill and experience in operating a section in the kitchen, e.g. hot/cold production, staff canteen, cook-chill.5. Knowledge in the applications of common computer software including MS Office, Chinese word processing, use of e-mail etc.Remarks:1.
