Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor (multiple posts) in the Department of Computer Science (Ref.: 523032), to commence on July 1, 2024 or as soon as possible on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.The Department of Computer Science is known for its high-quality education and research. It offers programmes at both undergraduate and graduate levels. It provides a supportive research and teaching environment in which faculty members enjoy excellent computing resources and facilities. Information about the Department can be obtained at www.cs.hku.hk.Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, with a strong commitment to research and teaching. A solid track record in research is essential. The positions are open to all research areas in Computer Science, with preference given to candidates in the areas of AI Security, IoT/AIoT Security, Digital Forensics, Data Privacy, Decentralized Data Analytics & Technologies, Data Science, FinTech, Metaverse, Computer Graphics, Computing & Big Data Systems, or Theoretical Computing.A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.The University only accepts online application for the above post.
