This Swedish solution makes water taste like water, and everything else tastes as intended. The Nordaq filtration system is an environmentally sustainable, cost-effective alternative to single-use water products. Water is filtered and bottled in reusable glass bottles on-site, eliminating transportation. Today, Nordaq’s premium water is offered in restaurants and hotels in over 32 countries.Since launching Nordaq in Singapore in 2016, the company has quickly established a strong foothold among high-end restaurants across the region, including Odette, Gaggan Anand, Tippling Club, Zén by Frantzén, Nouri, Artemis Grill and JAAN. In addition, Nordaq is served in a range of casual establishments like Le Bon Funk, Esquina and Providore.The system is also the perfect sustainable water solution for hotels with Raffles Hotel (SG), Mandarin Oriental The Landmark (HK), Grand Hyatt (SG), Four Seasons (SG & HK), Capella Hotel (SG), and The Warehouse Hotel (SG) all currently serving Nordaq as their preferred and sustainable water solution in their properties, to mention some Asian customers only.The RoleIn this role, you will be reporting to the Regional Sales Director and will be responsible for primarily focusing on Japanese restaurants. You will be involved in attending other high-end Japanese restaurants across our offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bangkok. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing a growth strategy, generating leads, and selling Nordaq’s unique and sustainable water systems to Japanese restaurants and hotels.
  • Actively researching, prospecting, contacting, and visiting both new and established Japanese restaurants and hotels, while taking up other premium establishments like high-end dining venues for potential opportunities.
  • Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective Japanese clients, emphasizing the benefits of Nordaq’s products, and extending these efforts to other high-end restaurants.
  • Representing Nordaq at Japanese food festivals, networking events, and other relevant events, leveraging these opportunities to network with restaurant representatives.
  • Building a healthy sales pipeline to retain and grow the business with existing Japanese customers, and other high-end restaurants.
  • Negotiating contracts with prospective Japanese clients and renewal contracts with existing customers.
  • Consistently meeting and exceeding individual sales targets and other defined KPIs, focusing on the target segment.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly sales reports, ensuring accurate documentation of sales activities across all target segments.
  • Being responsive to clients about products, prices, and accessories availability, supporting the admin team with the balance of payments, and assisting the maintenance team with installations.
  • Visiting Japanese clients and other potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services, maintaining a similar approach with other high-end restaurants.
  • Obtaining a good understanding of the technical aspects of the system to be able to carry out training, basic troubleshooting, and oversee service for clients.
  • Educating/Training Japanese customers so they can create a greater dining experience for their guests, and extending this support to other high-end restaurants as well.
Ideal Profile
  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sales & Marketing, Economics, or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience in B2B Hotel/Restaurant Sales, ideally selling F&B products.
  • A solid network within the HoReCa industry in Singapore and/or Hong Kong and/or Bangkok is preferred.
  • You have a proven track record of negotiating and closing deals with hotels and restaurants, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience using CRM systems like Salesforce and/or Pipedrive is a plus.
  • You are well-versed in the sales processes, and dynamics, and can build long-lasting relations with clients.
  • Professional language proficiency in Japanese and English is required in order to pitch to clients both within traditional Japanese hotels and restaurants and other high-end international establishments.
  • You are highly customer-oriented with strong interpersonal & communication skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both Japanese customers and suppliers.
  • You have a systematic and independent way of working combined with a strong “can do” attitude, and excellent time management and prioritizing abilities.
  • You are detail-oriented, a problem-solver, a keen learner, and can keep yourself updated with all aspects relating to the role and industry.
  • You are hands-on with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and can use computers for a variety of tasks
  • You are willing to travel on a monthly basis.
