Pay: HK$96,142 to HK$114,905 (HGPS Point 34 to Point 39) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide casework services to patients and their families, especially for more difficult and complicated cases.2. Conduct research/group work services/community programmes*.3. Provide professional guidelines, training and case supervision to staff.4. Provide professional support and information to other health care professionals.5. Liaise with government departments and other welfare agencies for coordination of services and community resources.6. Assist the Department Manager to:(a) undertake the overall administration and management of the department.(b) plan, organise and monitor the service delivery of the department.(c) handle enquiries from District Board members, reporters, officials, etc and monitor hardship cases reported by the media.7. Any job-related duties assigned by senior.Entry Requirements:
1. (a) A degree in Social Work from a local university or equivalent.OR(b) A degree from a local university, or equivalent and have successfully completed a one-year post-graduate course in Social Work from a local university, or equivalent.OR(c) A degree from a local university, or equivalent and have successfully completed a two-year post-graduate course in Social Work or possess a Master’s degree in Social Work from a local university, or equivalent.(Note: Equivalent qualifications are those recognised for registration with the Social Workers Registration Board.)2. Registration with and a valid registration certificate issued by the Hong Kong Social Workers Registration Board.3. 5 years’ experience as an Assistant Social Work Officer in Medical Social Services or equivalent.4. Fluency in written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese.Preferred Attributes:
1. (a) Grade E in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent.OR(b) Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, or equivalent.2. Knowledge on local community resources service development and social policy.3. Social Work therapy skills.4. A post-basic academic or professional qualification.5. A management qualification and/or experience.6. Supervisory skills and leadership attributes.7. Contribution to professional development including research, teaching and training.8.
