A leading Hong Kong based real estate developer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Officer with a background in engineering or architecture to join their team in Hong Kong.The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing commercial projects, ensuring their successful completion within budget and timeline.The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in the commercial sector.Other key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Project Management:Lead and manage commercial asset projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Control:Monitor and ensure the quality of project deliverables, including design plans, construction materials, and workmanship, to meet industry standards and client expectations.
  • Risk Management:Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing any issues or challenges that may arise during the project execution.
  • Budget and Cost Control:Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
  • Reporting and Documentation:Prepare regular progress reports, project documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership:Provide guidance and support to project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
To be successful in this position, you must have a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in project management, preferably in the commercial sector working in a client-side related position.Other requirements include but are not limited to:
  • Education:Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management are a plus.
  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in project management software, CAD software, and other relevant tools and technologies.
  • Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
  • Leadership Abilities:Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
  • Analytical Thinking:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data and industry knowledge.
  • Organizational Skills:Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
