- Develop and implement financial strategies, forecasts, and budgets in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
- Conduct financial analysis, monitor key performance indicators, and provide recommendations for improving financial performance and cost efficiencies.
- Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and present them to senior management.
- Oversee day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
- Maintain a robust internal control framework to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic and actionable budgets.
- Monitor budgetary performance, analyse variances, and provide insights to support decision-making and cost control measures.
- Prepare financial forecasts and projections to assist in strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
- Coordinate and oversee the completion of statutory financial audits, tax filings, and other financial compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and documentation for audit purposes.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification CPA is preferred.
- Proven experience in a finance management role, preferably within the consumer goods or retail industry.
- Solid knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
