Our Client is a well-known financial institution in Hong Kong. They are currently hiring an Expert in Data Governance. This individual will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the framework for the entire organization, ensuring its adherence to industry standards. The position will be offered at the assistant manager/manager level, commensurate with the candidate's level of experience. The contract for this role is renewable with offering career growth and development.Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Act as SME for data management and governance issues.
  • Define and manage Data Governance model and framework
  • Define key metrics, decide needed resources, establish organizational structures, set KPI dashboards, and review progress
  • Regular update and communication with stakeholders, relevant project teams for effective operational plan and progress
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data governance initiatives and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to data quality, privacy, and compliance.
Requirements of the Role
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related discipline. Postgraduate is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data governance within the financial services sector, with a Manager title offered to candidates with prior managerial experience.Solid experience in data governance, data quality, and data protection management
  • Knowledge of Data Governance tools, e.g. Informatica (Axon, EDC, IDQ) is preferable but not a Must.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
