Visit:About the TeamThe Asia Pacific Insurance group includes analysts in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore and Thailand. With coverage across life, non-life and reinsurance markets, the team applies an open and balanced approach to credit assessment.How You'll Make an Impact:
  • Demonstrate insurance market knowledge, including industry-related experience, insurance accounting and application of Fitch's Rating Criteria.
  • Support a portfolio of issuer ratings, including preparation of financial ratio analysis, rating committee packages and discussion of credit issues in rating committees.
  • Publish quality rating reports on rated issuers, sector-specific research and insightful commentaries on insurance markets
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with senior management of rated issuers
  • Present and respond to queries from investors, bankers and the media together with senior analysts. Respond to internal counterparties' needs in a timely and professionally manner.
You May be a Good Fit if:
  • A minimum of 3 years credit analysis experience in insurance sector (preferably) for SA role; less than 3 years of experience for A role.
  • Degree-level education, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Basic knowledge of insurance accounting/financial statements interpretation; with strong attention to detail, especially in data handling
  • Strong writing skills in English and Chinese, and fluency in verbal communication (including Mandarin)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work independently
  • Willing to travel when needed
