Production Engineer / IB / HK$80k / Contract (12 m)Join a top tier investment bank, providing wealth management solutions, seeking a skilled Production Management and Support professional to ensure system reliability.Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand business processes, applications, and client interfaces
  • Investigate issues using logs, code, and databases
  • Manage application incidents and serve as client escalation point
  • Escalate complex issues to Level 3 development teams
  • Provide weekend on-call support (every 3 weeks)
  • Collaborate with developers to maintain support knowledge
  • Document knowledge articles and support resources
  • Coordinate with external parties to resolve issues
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external teams
  • Follow up on issues and provide timely updates
What We're Looking For:
  • Strong communication skills, adept at technical and business language
  • Ability to automate tasks using Python
  • Proficiency in scripting languages
  • Professional ownership of incidents and user requests
  • Positive attitude with strong ownership and follow-through
  • Experience developing and documenting support processes
  • Background in fast-paced enterprise environments
  • ITIL training and production management experience
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Team player in a global, diverse setting
  • Basic RDBMS knowledge (Sybase/DB2) and SQL skills
  • Familiarity with Python, Java, Linux, and UNIX
