Reports To: Head of Financial Accounting Location: Hong Kong Hours: Full-time Contract: Permanent Direct reports: 2 SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?
  • This position in based in HK and will work closely with Head of Financial Accounting to support finance operations and strategic initiatives for our fast-growing APAC HK organization.
THE GIG
  • The role is to be a dedicated lead to various Finance related projects overseeing the planning and working towards solutions. He/ she will organize and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered timely and successfully.
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART
  • Work closely with Global & Regional finance team to analyse and review the financial and operational performance
  • Be an essential contributor to the implementation and system enhancement of new ERP system for Finance function
  • Perform thorough analysis to support regional commercial projects and initiatives as well as deep-dive into specific topics to support the growth of the business
  • Coordinate internal and external resources for the execution of projects in finance domain
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, statutory bodies, company secretary and other consultants for audit, taxation and banking matters
  • Work on continuous improvement projects related to taxation reporting, cash flow management, transfer pricing, etc.
  • Lead and initiate enhancements to reporting and insight generation
To be our Assistant Accounting Manager, you will also possess these qualities:
  • Degree in Accountancy or related disciplines along with a professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA/CA)
  • At least 8 years of relevant regional commercial financial experience, preferably within retail industry/ consumer business
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiar with IFRS
  • Strong project management skills, ideally with ERP set up experience
  • Proven track record in delivering finance related projects from beginning to end
  • Hands-on, responsible, independent, self-motivated and strong analytical skills
  • Good understanding of best practice controls in finance, with proven experience of building processes within teams
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage, influence and collaborate with both financial and non-finance stakeholders
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese
