- Evaluate and optimize end-to-end trade processes by translating complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
- Serve as the main liaison between IT teams and key business units, such as Front Office, Risk, Compliance, and Sales & Trading.
- Develop and maintain logical data models (employing ER diagramming techniques) to accurately represent trade data and transactional systems.
- Ensure consistent application of advanced data modeling techniques to support standardized data contracts.
- Analyze and dissect complex messaging flows, addressing challenges with innovative and actionable solutions.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure integration across IT systems while maintaining data integrity and compliance.
- Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation and specifications for global stakeholders.
- Communicate complex technical concepts in an accessible manner to both IT professionals and business leaders.
- Manage multiple project tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, driving initiatives from conception through to delivery.
- Influence and build relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners to promote adherence to data standards and ensure project momentum.
- Minimum of 3 years of focused experience in business analysis within transactional systems supporting multiple asset classes.
- Proven expertise in logical data modeling (including ER diagramming) and deep technical understanding of messaging flows.
- Proficiency in SQL with practical experience using data platforms such as DB2, Greenplum, or kdb.
- Familiarity with messaging protocols like FIX to support global trading operations.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the capacity to develop creative and effective solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Strong project management skills with an ability to adapt and multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, essential for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage relationships across diverse business units.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
