The appointee will assist in designing, developing and executing the on-going supervision strategy in relation to investment compliance and fund governance of MPF schemes and investment funds.
  • To perform on-site and off-site supervisory activities, integrating analytical skills to derive insights from the report findings and results from supervisory activities, and liaise with trustees for follow-up actions;
  • To formulate supervisory strategies and operation procedures for on-site and off-site supervisory activities and compile report for reporting to the Management;
  • To supervise and handle investment breach cases;
  • To assist in overseeing compilation, monitoring and evaluation of performance of MPF funds;
  • To conduct research, fact-finding and data/statistical analysis on developments of financial markets and regulatory reforms;
  • To establish, maintain and update related information databases with a focus on data integrity and accuracy and drive for improvement in workflows;
  • To supervise and enhance skills and expertise of subordinates in the team; and
  • To perform other duties as assigned by the Management.
The Person
  • A recognized degree, preferably majoring in economics, finance, statistics, accounting or law, or equivalent;
  • At least eight years of relevant experience in finance and data analytics, trust business/management of pensions/retirement schemes, financial market regulation, fund management or accounting/auditing, of which at least four years should be at supervisory level;
  • Relevant experience in MPF investment compliance and fund governance, leveraging skills and knowledge in finance and data analytics;
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Excel and sound knowledge in Bloomberg and Lipper IM;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Good communication skills and stakeholder-focused;
  • Good analytical, problem-solving skills and strong in execution, communication and people management skills; and
  • Mature, flexible, open-minded and able to work independently as well as under pressure.
Remuneration Package
A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered. All new appointments will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract initially prior to consideration for appointment on a non-fixed-term basis.To Apply
