Position: Site Survey Assistant
Client: Development Bureau - Antiquities and Monuments Office (Work Branch)
Employer: AR Solution Ltd.
Contract period: 12 months or 245 man-days
Working Location: 14/F, Revenue Tower, 5 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong and outdoor on site.
Salary: HK$1,010.00 per working day
Working hours: normally 9-hour per day, from 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday (including one-hour meal break)

In this Contract, four (4) Site Survey Assistants shall be responsible for (but not limited to) the followings:
(a) To conduct site surveys to document the existing condition of some 2,000 buildings across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New Territories and the outlying Islands through photographic and/or video recordings;
(b) To assist in compiling archival records for each of the some 2,000 buildings gathered from site surveys, oral history interviews, and archival research, including aerial photos, old maps, historical photographs, building plans, old news articles, academic publications, government records, etc.;
(c) To assist in drafting preliminary studies on the authenticity of some 2,000 buildings by comparing their existing condition with the old records, including photographs, building plans and government records;
(d) To assist in preparing presentation materials on some 2,000 buildings, including boundary plans of the buildings and PowerPoint slides; and
To perform any other duties as assigned by Government Representative.The actual commencement date for the Services shall be determined upon confirmation of appointment of four (4) Site Survey Assistants.Requirements:
The four (4) Site Survey Assistants deployed by the Contractor shall meet the following essential requirements:
- A degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, majoring in one of the following subjects: Anthropology, Archaeology, Architecture., Architectural Conservation, Ethnography, History, Humanities, Museum Studies, Heritage Conservation Studies or equivalent;
- Working experience relating to museum or built heritage conservation, particularly with experience to conduct site surveys on heritage buildings is preferable;
- Level 2 (both English Language and Chinese Language) in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (1-1KDSE), or Grade D (both Use of English and Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature) in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE), or Grade C (English Language) in the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level), or Level 2 (both Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent;
- Good computer knowledge in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese and English word processing skills; and
- Proficiency in both Chinese and English.
