The Department of Social Work invites applications for the positions of Postdoctoral Fellow to support research projects on topics of children/adolescents and youth (e.g., school violence and bullying, subjective well-being, mental health, cyber addiction and deviance, delinquency, socially oppressed children/adolescents/youth, and other topics related to children and adolescents).Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in Social Work, Education, Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, Public Health or related social science disciplines; (ii) publication records in high-impact-factor journals (e.g., SSCI/SCIE); (iii) an effective command of written and spoken English; (iv) a self-motivated, hard-working and responsible work attitude with high motivation; (v) strong knowledge in quantitative research and conducting advanced data analysis (e.g., SEM, Multi-level, Longitudinal data, Rasch, or other advanced data analysis); and (vi) ability to work independently and under pressure. Experience in family, children, adolescents and youth research will be preferred. Experience in writing high quality of academic journal papers and research grant proposals will be advantageous.The appointee(s) is expected to assist the Principal Investigator (Prof. CHEN, Ji-Kang) and his local and international team members to (a) draft/write research reports to publish in high-impact-factor SSCI/ SCIE journals; (b) analyze, collect, and manage data; (c) draft/write research proposal for external grants; (d) assist in supporting international/local research projects and collaboration; and (e) assist research-related business, administrative work, and other assigned duties.Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement and budget.Applicants should submit the following documents in the online application: (1) a cover letter; (2) an up-to-date CV; (3) publication or writing samples; and (4) up to two reference letters (one from the PhD supervisor if graduating within 2 years).
