Position Summary:A 46-month comprehensive blended-mode professional development tailored for kindergartens. The project seeks to provide practical coaching guidance and support to apply theory to practice for teachers and school management. The project promotes a conducive universal environment design to enhance inclusion and participation of all learner diversities and aims to foster a long-lasting support network between schools.Job Description:The coach is an experienced educator dedicated to enhancing the inclusive practices of early childhood educators by effectively facilitating the application of newly acquired knowledge. The coach will provide tailored support to educators in implementing inclusive strategies aligned with universal design for learning, ensuring that all children, particularly those with diverse learning needs, receive high-quality educational experiences. Additionally, the coach will act as a liaison to ensure consistency and quality in coaching services across schools, fostering collaboration among teachers, school management, and community partners. This role encompasses the preparation of essential documentation—such as support plans, training materials, reports, and best practice models—to create a safe and trusting environment that encourages meaningful exchanges and promotes continuous improvement in early childhood education.Key Responsibilities:Act as a liaison to oversee the coaching services provided by part-time coaches across all schools, ensuring consistency and quality in delivery.Provide coaching, training, and support to early childhood educators, emphasizing inclusive practices and universal design for learning.Work alongside educators to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans tailored to support children with diverse learning needs.Conduct evaluations of early childhood education programs and recommend modifications to enhance inclusive practices and universal design for learning.Design and deliver comprehensive training programs and workshops for early childhood educators to strengthen their capacity in inclusive practices.Collaborate with school administrators and community partners to identify resources and partnerships that support inclusive education initiatives.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of coaching services and training programs, ensuring alignment with project objectives and making recommendations for continuous improvement.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and best practices in universal design for learning and inclusive early childhood education to inform coaching strategies.Job Requirements:A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in early childhood education, special education, or a related field.Proven ability to coach and mentor early childhood educators, fostering professional growth and the implementation of inclusive practices.Experience in developing and delivering effective training programs for educators.In-depth knowledge of universal design for learning and best practices in inclusive early childhood education is preferred.Familiarity with relevant regulations, and guidelines pertaining to local kindergartens, nursery schools and special education, ensuring compliance and informed practice.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders.Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Passion for education and a commitment to improving the quality of education for children with diverse learning needs.Salary and Fringe Benefits:Initial appointment will normally be made on a renewable 24-month contract.
Remuneration is competitive and will be based on qualifications and relevant experience.
