- Provides guidance and support to the commodity team during global negotiations of pricing, terms and conditions and monitoring of supplier performance.
- Provides guidance and support for worldwide product sourcing process.
- Maintains responsibility for development and execution of procurement strategies for a group of components or services.
- Establishes and drives strategic global bidding/initiatives.
- Maintains responsibility for commodity plans, supplier selection, quotation/contracting and supplier relationship management for high dollar commodities.
- Facilitates process of making the material commitments.
- Drives continuous improvements of SCM function through interactions with other departments.
- Expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities, industry pricing, technology, supply/demand and emerging trends.
- Excellent understanding of the global business environment and customers business, organization, products and processes.
- Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively.
- Problem-solving skills to deal with Customer/ Supplier issues.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
