- Legal and Market Expertise: Provide expert guidance on banking and finance matters, including direct support on client work where needed.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver targeted training programs (seminars, workshops, induction courses) and mentor junior lawyers to build technical capability across the team.
- Current Awareness and Thought Leadership: Monitor legal and market developments, produce newsletters and articles, and identify opportunities for new legal products and services to enhance client value.
- Knowledge Management: Draft and maintain standard forms, practice notes, and deal summaries; ensure materials are current and accessible through internal KM systems.
- Innovation and Strategic Projects: Champion new knowledge tools and contribute to global initiatives that improve collaboration, efficiency, and English law expertise in Asia.
- Collaboration and Continuous Learning: Respond to legal queries, engage in regular team meetings, and attend external training to stay up to date with legal and business trends.
- At least 7 years post-qualified experience in Banking & Finance, with strong expertise in leveraged and real estate finance (real estate finance preferred), gained at a leading law firm or financial institution
- Law degree and bar admission in Hong Kong or Singapore
- Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills and confident working across teams and levels
- Strong organizational abilities, understanding of legal learning processes, and comfort with legal tech and knowledge systems
