- Acquire and retain profitable business and provide quality services to Agents & Brokers within delegated underwriting authority
- Monitor the underwriting results and maintain good business relationship with Agents & Brokers
- Perform best underwriting practices in line with company’s underwriting guidelines, reinsurance requirements, and complied with legal & compliance measurements
- Support product development and responsible for production statistics
- Any task assigned by the Company and ad hoc projects
- Solid experience in underwriting / business development in general insurance (non-marine)
- 6-10 years’ experience in general insurance
- Strong knowledge of insurance products and compliance requirements
- Self-motivated, independent, and able to work under pressure
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Work cooperatively and effectively with different levels of people and enable to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others both internally and externally
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Member of ANZII/CII is preferable
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager, Underwriting
