[Appointment period: six months initially, with possibility of further appointment]DutiesThe appointee will be required to:(a) provide regular checking, troubleshooting and maintenance service of AV/IT hardware (e.g. computers, projectors, audio systems, LED display panels, etc.) and software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, O365, MS Teams, Zoom, etc.) to internal staff members;(b) set up and configure operating systems, printers, mobile and network devices;(c) manage the installation and provision of applications in the general office;(d) manage reports and logs for daily operations and projects;(e) provide support to day-to-day operations of the office, committees, working groups and task forces as appropriate; and(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Registrar or his delegates.QualificationsApplicants should:(a) have a higher diploma/certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline;(b) have at least two years of relevant post-qualification experience;(c) have experience in providing user and event support;(d) have proficiency in Desktop OS, computer applications and IT systems including Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, Microsoft Office, O365, MS Teams and Zoom, etc.;(e) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;(f) have good problem-solving and communication skills; and(g) be a good team player with competent interpersonal skills.Preference will be given to those who have experience in AV/IT user support service in tertiary institutions.Applicants with less experience and/or qualifications may be considered for the post of Technical Assistant.Conditions of ServiceA highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.ApplicationPlease submit an application through PolyU’s career website (https://jobs.polyu.edu.hk/general).
