Our client, a sizable life insurer, is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Finance team. This role will focus on Par Fund and RBC reporting, including fund segregation, investment cash flow analysis, month-end closing, and system enhancements to support ledger integration and financial reporting.Responsibilities:
  • Manage Par Fund reporting, including segregation, reconciliation, fund transfers, and inter-fund settlements.
  • Support RBC reporting under the HKRBC framework and assist with GL36 implementation for Universal Life products.
  • Perform policy and investment cash flow calculations, month-end closing, and settlement analysis.
  • Conduct investment reviews, expense analysis, and investigate anomalies with fund managers and actuarial teams.
  • Perform quarterly ratio analysis on investment-related expenses and support budgeting and forecasting exercises.
  • Drive system and ledger enhancements to integrate Par Fund and RBC processes.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the insurance sector
  • Familiarity with Par Fund, RBC reporting, and Universal Life products is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with Sun Accounting and SAP is advantageous
  • Detail-oriented, confident, and reliable in handling sensitive financial tasks
  • Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English
