Posting Date: 2025-09-02The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd.Chief Manager (Sustainability) (Ref: CDD-SU-CMS-R)Responsibilities:Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, the appointee will mainly perform the following duties:

To lead a team of executives in implementing corporate sustainability policies, strategies and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Company's overall business objectives and achieving sustainability goals
To support the Sustainability Management Committee in developing policies and strategies, setting targets for monitoring sustainability performance, and managing ESG risks and opportunities
To coordinate the production of the Sustainability Report in compliance with relevant regulations and disclosure requirements
To oversee the collection of sustainability data and manage greenhouse gas emissions quantification, reporting and verification
To conceive and implement innovative sustainability initiatives and benchmark corporate sustainability performance against industry standards and best practices
To engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote and enhance corporate sustainability efforts

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Environmental Management or related disciplines
A minimum of 15 years' relevant experience in environmental management/sustainability
Experience in compelling sustainability reports for companies listed on HKEX, managing ESG/CSR initiatives, and assessing ESG risks and opportunities
Extensive knowledge of sustainability/ESG planning and reporting, with a strong understanding of ESG disclosure standards
Well versed in greenhouse gas emissions accounting in compliance with ISO standards and the GHG Protocol
Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written
