senior legal counsel - data privacy

• Work closely with other business units in managing potential privacy risks by ensuring strict compliance with relevant data privacy laws
• Responsible for supervising and managing the Group's data privacy program by monitoring and updating any changes to privacy laws across the region including GDPR, PIPL, PDPO etc.
• Provide legal support and guidance to internal teams on data protection and privacy matters, including contract reviews, and data sharing /data processing agreements
• Manage and oversee any data protection and privacy-related litigation or investigations

• Qualified to practise in Hong Kong (or common law qualification) with at least 5 years' PQE
• Strong commercial experience gained in-house is a must
• Good knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CIPP/E and other data protection and privacy laws is advantageous
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English and Chinese is required
