SCHOOL OF CHINESE MEDICINECLINICAL DIVISIONPost-Doctoral Research Fellow (TCM-driven mental wellness hub) (23240165)Project introduction:
TCM-driven Mental Wellness Hub is a platform providing evidence-based Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) preventive and treatment services for the high-risk population and patients with common mental disorders in the community. The platform fosters interdisciplinary pilot cooperation between TCM and counselling, which enhances capacity building, research development, and network collaboration.The appointee will be responsible for conducting a large-scale clinical study of Chinese Medicine and mental health.Responsibilities:
  • Conducting independent and collaborative research in the field of mental health and Chinese Medicine;
  • Developing and implementing research protocols and study designs;
  • Collecting and analysing data, including conducting literature reviews, interviews, and surveys;
  • Preparing manuscript;
  • Collaborating with other researchers, clinicians, and stakeholders to advance the field of mental health and Chinese Medicine;
  • Mentoring and training junior researchers; and
  • Staying up to date with the latest developments and trends in the field of mental health and Chinese Medicine.
Requirements:
  • A doctoral degree in the relevant fields, such as Chinese Medicine, psychology, or public health;
  • Experience in clinical trials and practice;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese;
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team; and
  • Good publication record and experience in Chinese medicine research; and possessing a practising certificate of a registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner in Hong Kong are added advantages.
