- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning within the fashion industry.
- Product Selection: Curate product assortments that resonate with target customers, considering seasonal trends, market demands, and sales forecasts.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, analyze performance metrics, and implement strategies to optimize stock turnover and minimize markdowns.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure cohesive product offerings and effective promotional strategies.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the buying budget, ensuring financial goals are met while maximizing profitability.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on purchasing performance, market trends, and competitor analysis for senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in buying or merchandising, preferably within the fashion industry.
- Strong understanding of the APAC market, consumer behavior, and regional trends.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Proficient in data analysis and inventory management systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a keen eye for detail.
