Academy for Applied Policy Studies and Education FuturesThe Academy for Applied Policy Studies and Education Futures (AAPSEF) is seeking an inspirational and energetic
candidate with strong teaching capabilities and a solid record of academic research to support its development in the fields
of Chinese Foreign Affairs and International Relations.Applicants are required to have made significant research contributions in the fields of Chinese Foreign Affairs and
International Relations, possess professional knowledge and teaching capabilities, and be able to participate in the
development of new courses. The research and teaching areas cover China's evolving role in global governance, regional
affairs (e.g., the Belt and Road Initiative), as well as International Political Economy, Comparative Foreign Policy
Analysis, and related topics. Familiarity with interdisciplinary approaches and the ability to contextualise China's foreign
policy within broader global trends would be highly valued.Successful applicants will join the University's highly qualified scholars' team and affiliate to the relevant academic
department and/ or academy. The appointees will contribute to enhancing the University's research capacity and impact on
the relevant strategic research field(s). Responsibilities mainly include: (i) conducting high-quality research, and
generating scholarly publications or other significant research outputs; (ii) initiating and supporting research projects, and
securing external research grants (such as ECS/GRF/PPR) to enhance domain impact; (iii) strengthening academic and
professional networks, including collaborations with local and overseas institutions and universities; (iv) curriculum and
programme development as well as programme and course management at undergraduate to postgraduate levels;
(v) engaging in and leading research-related activities with colleagues and RPg students; and (vi) participating in and be an
active member of the University's community.Applicants should have a doctoral degree and/or prior degrees in relevant field(s). They should be active researchers with
proven capacity and potential in research. They should be fluent in both Mandarin and English, with preferably some
knowledge of Cantonese and an understanding of the educational context of Hong Kong and/or Mainland China.
Candidates with international experience would also be highly valued. The appointee may be required to travel outside of
Hong Kong and undertake work including teaching duties as assigned by the University, where necessary.Applicants for Associate Professor should possess evidence of strong research output and publication in relevant field(s)
and a strong research track record and impact. Applicants for Assistant Professor should possess evidence of scholarship,
research, and publications in the relevant field(s). A knowledge of, or an area of focus on, higher education in Asia, China,
