- Strategic Analysis and Planning: Proactively investigate and identify business problems and opportunities from an end-to-end perspective. Conduct a comprehensive current-state analysis, define future-state goals, and perform gap and feasibility analysis to inform the project roadmap.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Management: Act as a central liaison and translator, bridging the gap between business teams, senior stakeholders, and technical delivery teams (including product managers, data scientists, and vendors). Build and maintain strong relationships, manage expectations, and effectively negotiate competing priorities to secure consensus and drive outcomes through influence.
- Leadership and Team Oversight : Oversee and coordinate the work of the business analysis team, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to junior and mid-level analysts. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring the team’s work is aligned with overall program objectives and best practices are adopted.
- Operational Excellence: Apply a synergistic approach of Agile and Lean principles to analyze, re-engineer, and document complex business processes. Identify areas for continuous improvement and automation, and define the tools and methodologies required to support the Lean Delivery lifecycle.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data profiling and other analytical techniques to ensure data is reliable, accurate, and credible for business decisions. Transform raw data into a cohesive story, providing actionable insights and recommendations that address business needs and challenges.
- Project Documentation and Deliverables: Produce and maintain a range of critical project artifacts, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), business cases, user stories, use cases, and wireframes. Ensure quality and traceability of all deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Tool Proficiency: Leverage modern project management and collaboration tools, such as Jira and Confluence, to manage requirements, user stories, and workflows.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Analytics, IT or a related field is required.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) are highly preferred.
- Core Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities. A strategic mindset with the capability to think beyond individual projects to broader business objectives.
- Languages: Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in Cantonese and Putonghua is a strong advantage.
- Professional Background: A minimum of 8 years of experience in a business analysis role within a large corporation is essential.
- Methodology Expertise: Proven experience in implementing and delivering projects using Agile methodologies and Lean principles.
- Technical Acumen: Experience with IT project management tools, including Jira and Confluence. Understanding of IT risk, cybersecurity governance, and regulatory frameworks.
