- Has responsibility for forecasting / monitoring loan growth to ensure the Regional portfolio is managed within the global plan, working closely with the regional Finance team; ensure RWA limits are managed to CB targets
- Regular dialogue and training for Banking, Risk, ICM-Underwriting, and Product teams on capital processes with a particular focus on TCE and Return on TCE. Guides bankers on returns modeling and recalibrations to returns calculations.
- Manages "Lower Left" aka “Red Zone” conversion plans and approvals
- Focus on public and private side risk mitigation and improve velocity of loan book by bringing efficiencies to the process of mitigation
- Work on strategic global and regional projects to wallet share, revenues, improvement in returns and client value
- Involvement in key projects like Quarterly Business Reviews that are essential for monitoring the franchise
- Support capital approval process and Banking Balance Sheet Forum for the region with approval coverage for various and differing countries over time
- Ensure a consistent approach to modeling transaction returns and accounting treatment across the regional team that is aligned with global practices
- Work with global loan portfolio advisory team to bring more efficiency to risk defeasance and capital optimization (RWA) across the corporate lending portfolio in Asia
- Participate and contribute in the WCR and other projects, including Less-than-Full Support remediation, validating appropriate booking vehicles, and tracking the Marketing Letter process.
- Coordinate with relevant businesses on core Capital Management tools, including Capital Approval Module (CAM), Loan Forecast Tracker (LFT), and RORC calculator
- Continuously stay informed of best practices and market and industry trends
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated planning, negotiation, organizational and analytical skills
- 5-8 years of experience, preferably in Corporate Banking Or Product Or Client facing role
- Bachelors Degree, Good to have Masters in Business
- Related lending/credit experience or equivalent product experience
- Demonstrated credit skills, background in credit or first line will be helpful
- Understanding of capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities products preferred
- Knowledge of Corporate Banking business including related products, pertinent regulations and the lending and credit approval process
