
Head of Strategy, Finance & Risk (MNC Sourcing Business)

- This is a strategic leadership role that combines Strategy, Finance Oversight, and Risk Assurance. As part of the sourcing leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping the long-term direction of the business, evaluating operating models, and partnering with senior stakeholders to drive transformation and performance.
- Lead the development of long-term corporate strategy in line with business objectives, informed by global market trends, competitor analysis and customer expectations
- Lead long-term strategic planning across sourcing operations and evaluate current operating models and recommend improvements
- Assess market presence and advise on office openings/closures
- Partner with function heads to align strategy with business goals
- Prepare and present strategic recommendations to the board
- Oversee FP&A activities and provide strategic input on capex evaluations and investment decisions
- Support financial planning and performance tracking
- Own the enterprise risk management framework within Sourcing, ensuring risks are proactively identified, assessed and reported
- Provide assurance on operational and strategic risks
- Work closely with the Legal and Risk Managers to maintain governance standards
- Extensive experience in corporate strategy, ideally within a global, complex organisation
- Strong financial acumen, able to confidently oversee a complex financial landscape and pull together compelling and financially sound business cases
- Experience working with or within large global retailers
- Exposure to sourcing and supply chain operations, ideally in a retail or consumer goods context
- Ability to identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities and drive financial discipline
- Experience working with enterprise risk management frameworks
- Proven ability to bring an external lens — including competitor analysis and market intelligence — to inform strategic direction
- Experience influencing and aligning senior stakeholders in matrixed, multicultural environments
- Excellent analytical, communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex insights into actionable strategies
- Familiarity with ESG-related risk management and supply chain resilience
- Fluency in English is essential
