We are currently looking to hire an Officer to support the delivery of Hong Kong Governance Advisory and managed service client engagements to cope with our fast-growing practice.A role you will loveThe Officer will be an active member of the Entity Solutions team with responsibility for developing the Company Secretarial Services practice and range of service offerings to Listco clients in HK. You will be assisting in developing subject matter market insights, technical knowledge and global service delivery templates, processes, tools and materials. You will be essential in establishing and maintaining clients' relationships and assisting the Manager to advise them on any compliance, governance and transaction-related matters. Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Officer.Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Assist Manager to handle full spectrum work of Listed or IPO portfolio
  • Acting as Named Secretary for the clients
  • Advise domestic and international clients on legal entity compliance, governance and transaction related matters
  • Support the delivery of governance advisory and managed service client engagements locally/globally
  • Support business development and client relationship management activities
  • Maintain relationships with client and other professional working parties
  • Support the on-boarding progress of IPO/Listed clients in accordance with company policies and processes
  • Assist Manager to follow up aged debts and support for any ad hoc assignments as delegated
  • As a good team player to work with the teams of other department for any pursuits
What will you bring to the role?You will be a graduate, or an associate member of the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute with a few years spent in a company secretarial, corporate administration and governance experience gained within professional services and/or industry. You will bring practical experience in managing Listco clients' on-boarding and co-ordination work in different jurisdictions. Your drive and enthusiasm will help develop, manage and grow the domestic and global Governance Services business.Your expert networking and communication skills will be essential to influence and build effective relationships at all levels with clients and colleagues. You would have awareness of legal, regulatory and governance trends and developments.Other key skills required for the role include:
  • Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, Law or Master Degree in Corporate Governance
  • Graduate or Associate Member of The HK Institute of Chartered Secretaries or other professional bodies such as HKICPA or Law Society
  • At least 2 years' company secretarial and corporate governance experience within professional services or industry
  • A certain knowledge of HK Companies Ordinance, Listing Rules, Securities and Futures Ordinance and other statutory and regulatory requirements for both HK and offshore companies
  • Advanced IT skills (incl. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and experience of using legal entity management technology
  • Multi-tasking and good time management skills are essential
