You will spend most of your time delivering underwriting decisions, contributing to business development activities and liaising with customers. You will deal with local intermediaries, international brokers, network partners and third parties, working with other colleagues and as part of a team.Job Duties:Assist with accountability of achieving business targets in terms of both growth and profitabilityAssert technical influence to shape different types of accounts to fit our overall motor portfolio strategyFollow agreed processes at the designated authority level to secure profitable business within the agreed risk appetiteProactively identify and pursue up-selling (add-ons) and cross-selling opportunities to maximise profitable revenue potential from both new and renewal business to achieve agreed business targetsUpdate and produce various monitoring reportsManage customer interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner in order to deliver high standards of customer satisfactionEssential Requirements:At least 3 years relevant General Insurance underwriting experience, specifically on HK motor insuranceEstablished sound network and rapport within local General Insurance distribution networkAbility to contribute technically to the portfolio’s growth and developmentStrong analytical, relationship management and communication skillsStrong interpersonal and business development skillsExcellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skillsPositive attitude and ability to handle challengesProfessional industry qualifications / accreditations preferredAll information collected from applicants will be kept in accordance with Allied World Assurance Company, Ltd ‘s (Hong Kong branch) privacy and security policy.Working at Allied WorldOur team of over 1,400 professionals has deep expertise in the industry.
