Vice President, Corporate Sales (Japanese Corporates), Global Transaction BankingCountry: Hong KongThe role is to support the strategic planning and business growth for the Corporate Client segment in Asia Pacific on Japanese Corporates. He/She will also support various commercial activities for the Corporate Sales Team including balance sheet & working capital analysis, preparation of pitches and marketing materials, client visits, pipeline management and execution of GTB transactions.Key ResponsibilitiesWork with senior GTB Corporate Sales and the wider GTB team to achieve quantitative and qualitative performance objectives.Support the strategic business planning for the business and various commercial activities including balance sheet and working capital analysis, ESG analysis, market research, preparation of client account plan, pitches and marketing materials and pipeline management.Closely work with internal stakeholders (e.g. Relationship Managers, Risks, Product Specialists) to ensure that the deal flow is being achieved and execute GTB transactions including but not limited to lending, traditional and structured trade finance solution, supply chain finance and receivables solutions.Work with Senior Sales to follow up on business pipeline and support on deal execution including but not limited to risk approval, documentation, middle office co-ordination and handholding of clients.Contribute to the skills development of colleagues in the region by sharing knowledge, experience, and expertise.Able to work independently on plain vanilla facility drawdowns, rollover, and renewals.Requirements5 - 10 years related working experience as a front-line in trade finance, structured trade or transaction banking. Relevant experience in marketing trade finance products for Japanese clients.Able to communicate (both in written and spoken) in both English and Japanese.Basic market knowledge of corporate client’s requirements, product capabilities and market positioning of peer competitors.Good credit analytical and presentation skills.Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the role requires close contacts and cooperation with different stakeholders (Risks, Legal, Sales, and Relationship Manager).Self-motivating, self-disciplinary and positive can-do attitude. Collaborative and entrepreneurial mind-set with strong team spirits.Available to travel within Asia Pacific region for business development purposes.
