Research Assistant I/ Research Assistant II (Part-time) (Two Posts) (Ref: 2500943)
Department of Curriculum and InstructionProject Title: Generative AI and EEG for Mathematics Learning
[Appointment Period: 6 months]The appointee will work for a project on GenAI-based math learning incorporating brain signals and
quantitative behavioral indicators as measurements. He/She will assist Principal Investigator to
design electroencephalography (EEG) experimental tasks, collect EEG data from children and adult
participants, conduct literature review, and perform statistical analysis. He/She will be expected to
carry out other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator. The appointment will be for a period
of around 6 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory
performance.Applicants should possess a recognized Bachelor's Degree, and preferably a Master's Degree in
Cognitive Neuroscience, Experimental Psychology, Statistics related areas, with relevant research or
work experience. They should have good command of written English, and spoken English and
Chinese; proficiency in quantitative data processing and analysis (e.g., R, MATLAB, Python); strong
interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as a team.
Preference will be given to those who have experience in designing EEG tasks and conducting EEG
