Our plans to expand into the Greater Bay Area (GBA) will also cultivate talent to serve Hong Kong and the wider metropolitan GBA.For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk.We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences:Part-time Research Assistant I or II (N&HS) (Ref: 25001TP)Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe appointee will assist Principal Investigator in the research project “Compare students’ use of cognitive and metacognitive strategies between live demonstration versus complementary immersive virtual reality simulation modality in fundamental nursing skills learning”. The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
  • assisting in participants’ recruitment;
  • assisting in conducting surveys/interviews;
  • conducting literature review on relevant topics;
  • performing quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis; and
  • providing research-related assistance.
He/she will be normally assigned to work not more than 17 hours per week. (For Part-time staff)CandidatesCandidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
  • a recognized Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Education, Psychology, Social Sciences or related discipline (for Research Assistant I);
  • a recognized Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Education, Psychology, Social Sciences or related discipline (for Research Assistant II);
  • proficient in MS Office Words, Excel, and PowerPoint; proficient in SPSS will be an advantage;
  • a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • a strong sense of self-motivation and responsibility, and able to work independently.
