[Appointment period: twelve months initially, with the possibility of further appointment]DutiesThe appointee will be required to:(a) be responsible for managing the daily communication activities of the laboratory, including news release / web pages / social media channels and the WeChat account;(b) be responsible for managing the laboratory’s outreach activities, publicity and events, including project videos and quarterly newsletters;(c) facilitate research collaborations within and outside Hong Kong;(d) arrange research visits for external visitors;(e) organise and support fundraising activities; and(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his/her delegates.QualificationsApplicants should:(a) have a recognised degree with at least five years’ relevant experience in communications / journalism / science reporting / digital art / digital design or other related fields;(b) be resourceful, independent, able to learn fast and work well with others in a team setting;(c) have strong organisational and time management skills;(d) have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and(e) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English, with fluency in Cantonese being an advantage.Applicants with less experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Officer.[Applicants who have responded to the previous advertisement(s) need not re-apply.]Conditions of ServiceA highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.ApplicationPlease submit an application through PolyU’s career website (https://jobs.polyu.edu.hk/management).
